Stewardship Committee
"Stewardship is everything we do after we realize how much God loves us." ~ Janet Bissett, United Church minister in M&O Conference.
The Stewardship Committee raises awareness of needs of our congregation and encourages active support of Newtonbrook members/adherents and friends to support the life and work of our congregation through
(a) tithes, pledges and regular/special offerings of money as well as
(b) sharing personal time & talents.
Traditionally, October is designated "Stewardship Month". In 2009, the theme is "
Let Us Give Thanks" with each week's worship service focusing on aspects of stewardship, both in the sermons and in brief messages from members of the congregation. Stewardship materials are distributed to all members and adherents, containing a description of our current and future needs and how one might help. The Stewardship Committee thanks the congregation for their generous support and ongoing commitment.
