Sunday Worship Service
Newtonbrook United Church’s Sunday Worship service is designed to meet the needs of all ages. Our worshipers tell us that our
choir and
music highlights are excellent, our preaching and prayers inspirational and helpful to those seeking to follow Christ in these challenging times. The service starts at 10:30 am in the church Sanctuary.
WINTER SERVICES
Newtonbrook United Church has never cancelled a Sunday Worship service or other event, but there is a possibility that we may do at some point in the event of a severe snow or ice storm. If you think there might be a cancellation, please check our web site or check the office phone and listen to the taped message. In addition, the team captains will phone the contact visitors who will then phone the people in their groups. If both the phone lines and electricity are out due to the weather, please stay home! Following any storm, if you think it would be unsafe to leave your home, stay there!
Infants and toddlers are welcome at the
Cradle Corner right at the start of service. Older children participate in the first part of the service including the Call to Worship, and on occasion, help to lead the Community Praise using rhythm instruments or putting on a drama. They then take part in a Children’s Circle with the Minister. At the conclusion of this part of the service, the children and youth, including high school students, continue their worship and learning in
Church School.

"To quicken the conscience by the holiness of God,
to feed the mind with the truth of God,
to purge the imagination with the beauty of God,
to give the heart to the love of God,
to devote the will to the purpose of God."
